When your cover starts
All of our upgraded warranties start on the day your manufacturer warranty expires. If your manufacturer warranty has already expired, your cover starts from the day you purchase the policy, and our team will confirm the exact start date for your car.
What is covered
Your cover protects against mechanical and electrical breakdown during the policy term, including failure due to wear and tear, subject to the policy terms. Your policy explains the components included, any exclusions and the limits that apply.
Benefits you can rely on
Benefits include £0 excess on approved claims, UK breakdown support 24 hours a day, repairs at our stores or any suitable VAT registered UK garage, and no limit to the number of eligible claims during the policy term. Claims are permitted up to the car’s value at purchase.
How claims work
Contact us before any work starts, and we will guide you through the claim and authorise eligible repairs. Repairs can be completed at one of our stores or at a suitable VAT registered UK garage. Approved claims cover parts and labour as described in your policy, and our team will help keep the process quick and easy from start to finish.
Eligibility and servicing
This upgraded warranty is only available for cars bought from CarSupermarket.com. It is not available for customised or modified cars, motorcycles, scooters, 3 wheeled vehicles, kit cars, quad bikes, motorhomes, light commercial cars, delivery cars, panel vans or cars exceeding 3,500kg. Your car must be serviced in line with the manufacturer’s service intervals throughout the policy term. Keep receipts and service records, follow the policy terms, and complete any recommended inspections or software updates.
Helpful example costs
Potential repair examples include a turbo at around £1,749, a clutch at around £599, a flywheel at around £1,099, or an ECU at around £1,799. Actual costs vary depending on the car, component, garage and work required. A clutch repair could cost around the same as the 2 Year Upgraded Warranty, available from £599, while some of the other example repairs could cost considerably more.
